Stoop Report
Small buildings run on group chats and good intentions.
“Where's the insurance certificate?”
It's in someone's Drive. Maybe.
“Did anyone tell the residents?”
The water shutoff notice went to half the building.
“Didn't we already decide this?”
The decision is buried 400 messages up.
“Wait, we owe the city what?”
A fine from two years ago, never cleared.
Management companies fix this, for buildings big enough to afford one. OurStoop is for everyone else.
The self-management suite
Everything your board does, in one place.
Your building, checked daily.
We check NYC records every day, understand Local Laws and alert you when something changes: a new violation, a complaint, a filing coming due.

Documents, finally organized.
Bylaws, insurance, minutes, filings. Stored with the building and shared with exactly who should see them.

Notify every resident in one step.
Water shutoffs, inspections, meeting notices. Sent by email to the whole building, with a record of what went out.

Know-how that doesn't leave with a board member.
Save important emails and records with the building, so the history stays when people move.

Meetings, tasks, and decisions.
Run the meeting, assign follow-ups, and keep a clear record of what the board decided and when.

Compliance is boring. Fines aren't.
NYC buildings answer to DOB, HPD, ECB, DSNY, and a long list of Local Laws. OurStoop pulls your building's public records into one report, updates it every day, and tells you what needs attention before it becomes a penalty.
“Our first report turned up an old fine and DOB records we didn't know were open. Clearing them early saved us from much bigger penalties.”
- Violations and complaints
- Fines owed
- Filing deadlines (bed bug, HPD registration, gas piping, facade)

Built by board members
We run small buildings too.
Michael owns in a 4-unit condo. Erik owns in a 13-unit co-op. We both learned the hard way how confusing NYC compliance is, and that the only “tools” for self-managed buildings are Google Docs, WhatsApp, and a patchwork of services built for someone else. So we built the one we wanted.

Questions boards ask us
Do I need to be on the board to use OurStoop?
Anyone can get a free Stoop Report for any NYC building. Running a building in OurStoop is set up by a board member or owner, who then invites the rest of the board and residents.
Is this for condos, co-ops, or both?
Both. OurStoop is built for small self-managed condos and co-ops in New York City, generally under 20 units.
My building is new to self-management. Where do I start?
Start with the free Stoop Report. It shows what the city already has on file for your building, including open violations, fines, and upcoming filings, so you know what needs attention first.
Which NYC Local Laws apply to a small building?
Most multi-unit buildings file an annual HPD registration and bed bug report, and get periodic gas piping inspections under Local Law 152. Others, like facade inspections (Local Law 11) and emissions limits (Local Law 97), depend on height and size, so many small buildings are exempt. Your Stoop Report shows which ones show up for your building.
How is this different from a management company?
A management company runs your building for you, for a fee sized for larger buildings. OurStoop gives your board the tools to run it yourselves: documents, resident notices, meetings, decisions, and daily monitoring of city records.
What does it cost?
OurStoop is an annual subscription priced by your building's unit count. Start with the free Stoop Report, then see the plans on our Pricing page. See pricing
Is our building's data private?
Your documents, correspondence, and board records are only visible to the people you invite. The Stoop Report is built from public NYC records.
Can we use this if we already have a management company?
Yes. OurStoop complements management companies. Everything in OurStoop stays with the building, whether you change management companies or board members over time.
